Health & Nutrition

At Little Love Lane, we follow the government guidelines on nutrition for young children. We believe in promoting a balanced diet that includes plenty of fruits, vegetables, starchy carbs, protein, and dairy to support their growth and development. We encourage water as the main drink, limit sugary treats, and aim to create a positive food atmosphere that introduces variety and helps kids develop healthy habits.

Physical activity is really important for children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) as it helps them develop their gross and fine motor skills, balance, coordination, and overall health. It is recommend that the children have at least three hours of activity each day for toddlers and pre-schoolers (ages 1-4), including an hour of more active play. We offer a mix of fun activities in both indoor and outdoor spaces to support their physical development!
