Little Acorns

Our Little Acorn room is designed for our younger babies, starting from 12 weeks old. In Little Acorns, you’ll find a warm and nurturing environment full of love and care.

We focus on creating a safe and stimulating space where babies can explore. In Little Acorns, we focus on sensory and visual stimulation to engage babies’ senses. We have a lovely range of high-contrast visual aids, mirrors, and other exciting stimuli for them to explore. We also provide creative and messy play experiences that allow little ones to discover different textures.
Our cosy area is a spot for quiet time and exploring books in a comfy, soft space.

Little Acorns have resources that help babies pull themselves up. We use black and white and vibrant colours, different textures, and safe, large loose parts, like planks and hoops, for babies to interact with and move around. We use metallic sheets that make noise when touched.
We always ensure our environment is calming.

Little Acorns have their own outside space to explore, which is suitable for their age and stage.

Little Dreamers

Our Little Dreamers room is specially created for our older babies, starting around 16 months, but we focus more on developmental stages than just age, so individual needs may vary.

Our Little Dreamers layout has defined, yet flexible, interest areas like a cosy corner, sensory trays, and messy play area to encourage exploration and free flow play.

Little Dreamers provides a range of physical activities and diverse play options, both inside and outside. This approach lets children explore the real world, engage with nature, and interact socially, giving them space and time to discover and revisit their ideas and theories. They also have a cosy area where they can relax with books and a lovely sleep area.

To inspire imaginative play, we offer various resources. They also have plenty of messy play activities that encourage sensory exploration and let children experience different textures.

Little Dreamers have their own outside area designed for their age and stage.

Little Bees

Our Little Bees room, the team cater primarily for children aged 2 to 3 years, although some little ones may transition to the Little Stars room before turning 3 if they’re ready. We have created a lovely environment focused on enabling toddlers to explore, engage in pretend play, and develop essential skills through routines and experiences that align with the EYFS curriculum. The Little Bees room is set up to be both stimulating and accessible, with resources thoughtfully chosen to spark curiosity and encourage children to make their own choices. We have familiar routines in place, helping children build confidence and allowing for practice through repetition. Learning in our Little Bees happens mainly through play, which includes pretend play, exploration, and spending time outdoors. Activities like obstacle trails with large loose parts promote physical development and problem-solving. We also incorporate water play to support sensory exploration and build physical strength. To foster social and emotional development, we offer structured activities and exploration opportunities. We even have quiet areas where children can share their feelings without adult interference.

They offer creative and sensory experiences are a big part of our day, with activities such as water play featuring different colours and smells, and large activity trays for endless fun.

Little Bees also have their own outside space which is suited to their age and stage.

Our Little Stars room is a lovely space, thoughtfully set up to inspire our children. It also has its own outdoor area where they enjoy growing herbs and exploring different activities that help develop their physical skills.
Little Stars caters to children who have outgrown the Little Bees room or those who are 3 years old and not starting school the following academic year. We’ve created a routine tailored to suit their age and developmental stage. Each day starts off with our energising wake-up shake-up routine to get them excited and ready for the day ahead.
The room has special areas designed to encourage independence and promote learning. There’s a cosy corner for reading, singing, or resting, and our construction area is filled with loose parts and small-world figures that inspire creativity and spark their imaginations.
Their home corner is always a favourite with this age group.
In our messy area, we offer various activities tailored to the children’s current interests. To support their independence, each child has a peg label with their photograph, which also aids in recognising letters and their names. Our resource boxes are clearly labelled to help foster tidiness and self-responsibility, with an overall layout that encourages exploration while maintaining a balance between consistency and fresh experiences.
